138th Kentucky Derby 2012 will take place on May 5 at 6:23pm EST. &
The 2012 Kentucky Oaks will take place on Friday, May 4.The race will be
televised in the United States on the NBC television network.The race
will be at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Kentucky.NBC has taken over
coverage of all of the Triple Crown races and will provide extensive
coverage of the proceedings on NBC and the NBC Sports Network (formerly
known as ‘Versus’). The NBC Sports Network will cover the Kentucky Oaks
(approximate post time 5:45 PM) and Kentucky Derby Post Position Draw
live and also feature pre-race analysis and retrospectives of previous
year’s races. The Kentucky Derby will be televised live on NBC beginning
at 5 PM Eastern on Saturday, with the approximate Derby post time of
6:24 PM. There will also be exhaustive pre and post race coverage on the
dedicated horse racing networks TVG and HRTV.
